Covers the theory, Inspection, diagnose and repair of automotive engines and related systems. Course also includes the inspection and repair of brake systems; suspension systems to include alignment procedures, electrical systems, diagnose and test charging and starting systems. Perform all scheduled maintenance per OEM specification to include brake system, cooling, power steering, and differential flushes. Upon completion of this course students should be able to perform minor repairs, flush and repair all fluid related systems, repair all electrical systems, select and choose proper tire selection per OEM specifications. Designed for the DIY student. OSHA approved safety glasses, steel toed shoes should be worn at all classes.

Our truck driving training program provides graduates with an excellent foundation for a truck driving career. Students are thoroughly tested on the road and through written exams to ensure that they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to successfully and safely operate commercial vehicles.
The Class “A” Commercial Drivers License (CDL) course provides students with training to inspect and operate tractor-trailers and assume driving responsibilities on the road. Emphasis is placed on vehicle inspections, defensive driving, range maneuvers and motor carrier safety regulations and certification. Additional topics include trip planning, hours of service, cargo planning, size/weight laws and general maintenance procedures. This program meets the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) standards of specialized training in the areas of driver qualification, hours of service, driver wellness, and whistleblower protection for entry-level drivers who are subject to the requirements (49 CFR Part 380).
The Commercial Truck Driving program provides the training for the North Carolina State Commercial Truck Driving License examination for new drivers.
All training instruction is provided at school facilities and in school provided equipment. The day class meets Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday, 8 am -5 pm. The evening class meets Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday, 6 – 10 pm, and Saturday, 8 am-6:30 pm.
Enrollment Requirements
A four-hour orientation session will be held prior to the start of each course. This will ensure students have enough time to take care of all requirements needed to enter the CDL Program.

Artists and the welding industry are a natural merger for sculpture. This course will focus on the basic MIG and stick welding processes, oxy acetylene, and Plasma cutting necessary for artists to work creatively to fabricate assigned projects. Safety is of utmost importance and students must attend class with proper personal protective equipment which includes no synthetic, ripped or frayed clothing, steel toe shoes, welding gloves, welding sleeves/jacket and welding cap. Each student is responsible for providing their own tools and welding helmet.
Required Supplies: Safety glasses, 4 ½” Grinder, 4 ½” Grinding discs, Welding helmet (Auto darkening recommended), Gloves, Chipping hammer, Wire brush, Welding sleeves or jacket, Pliers for handling hot metal and Steel-toed boots.
