The TOWN OF MOREHEAD CITY has a vacancy for a PART-TIME ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT to perform intermediate skilled administrative work in support of the Planning & Inspections Department. Strong customer service skills are a must as this position is the City’s first impression for the public. This busy position requires the ideal candidate to be detail oriented and able to multi-task and to have experience using Word and Excel software. Typical duties include receiving and processing incoming calls and visitors; permit application intake; filing; typing and entering data into computer; support for other staff members. High school diploma or GED with some coursework in business, office administration, computer technology or experience in a related field. Driver’s License/background/drug test required. Weekly work hours = 20. Minimum hourly Rate: $15.50. No benefits.
