Financial Hardships

Are you experiencing a financial hardship?  We want to help you stay in class.  Please contact the Financial Aid Office if you are experiencing unexpected financial difficulties to discuss your situation and financial need.

Military (Department of Defense) Tuition Assistance

Active members of the U.S. Armed Forces may qualify for Tuition Assistance from the Department of Defense (DoD). Military service members should inquire with the Educational Services Officer (ESO) within their respective Service.

Third-party Sponsor

Tuition and fees paid by someone other than the student (employer, organization, etc.) is considered a third-party sponsor. Contact your employer or other organization to which you belong to see if tuition assistance is available.

Veterans Assistance

Workforce & Continuing Education Financial Assistance

There are several scholarship opportunities available for students seeking funds for Workforce & Continuing Education classes at Carteret Community College. These scholarships are need-based, but do not require FAFSA documentation.

Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) exists to help students transition into sustainable employment. Students who need money for school, need to be re-trained or have been laid off from their workplace, can benefit from these services.
