New Partnership Supports Menstrual Health
Carteret CC Partners with Katey’s Kits to Provide Free Menstrual Products for Students
Carteret CC is proud to partner with Katey’s Kits, a Newport-based nonprofit committed to ending period poverty, to ensure students have free access to essential menstrual products on campus.
Thanks to this new partnership and the leadership of the Student Government Association (SGA) Carteret CC students can now pick up period products at no cost from two campus locations: the Food Pantry and the Student Activities Office in the Bryant Student Center.
“No student should ever have to choose between their education and their health,” said Kristian Jenkins. “This partnership helps remove a barrier that’s often invisible, but very real.”
Katey’s Kits kicked off the initiative with a generous donation of 40 packs of tampons and 40 packs of pads. Even better, they’ve pledged to restock as needed, ensuring a steady supply for students throughout the year.
At Carteret CC, we believe supporting students means meeting their full range of needs academic, physical, and emotional. Providing access to basic hygiene items is another step toward building an inclusive, student-centered campus.
Need supplies? Stop by the Food Pantry or Student Activities Office no questions asked. We’re here to help.
Because dignity, health, and academic success should always go hand in hand.
