MAPS (Mentoring, Advising and Planning for Success) is a student learning center located on the first floor of the Smith building (underneath the library). The MAPS Center provides a variety of services which include academic advising, tutoring, and testing. The MAPS Center offers students a safe and quiet environment for independent or group study. Current students who have already met with their Academic Advisor are eligible to register for classes through Carteret Compass.
Full Funding For All: All Students, All College Expenses! Carteret CC received approximately $1.6 million in additional Higher Education Emergency Relief Funding (HEERF). ALL students are eligible to apply for HEERF funding upon enrollment in a degree and/or continuing education program.

Our testing hours are Monday-Thursday 8:30am-4:00pm. Please contact the MAPS Center if you need to schedule a makeup test. If you need after hours testing, please contact the MAPS Center for availability at MAPS@carteret.edu or by calling (252) 222-6236.
The MAPS Center provides proctoring services for all Carteret CC students. Due to COVID-19, we are currently unable to offer proctored exams to non-Carteret CC students.
