Student Food Pantry

Carteret offers a Student Food Pantry which is an affiliate site of the ENC Food Bank. Located on the second floor of the Bryant Student Center, students may pick-up free, ready-to-eat groceries when it’s convenient for them.

Testing Services

Take advantage of our reliable and secure proctored testing facilities for placement tests, make-up exams, and all your examination needs. All students utilizing the MAPS Testing center will need to provide a picture ID prior to testing.

• Carteret Course Testing: Students may utilize the MAPS Testing Center for their testing needs for internet-based courses or as appropriate for course make-up testing. Students need to work with their faculty member to schedule a time in the MAPS Testing Center. Testing is by appointment only.
• Health Science: Some of our Health Science programs have testing as part of their selective admissions process. If this applies, you will be sent a link to schedule as part of the selective admissions application process.
• Placement Testing: We use placement tests to evaluate your English and mathematics ability. These are untimed, proctored assessments taken in the MAPS Center at Carteret Community College or at an approved proctored testing site.
• Request Accommodations and Accessibility: Your access matters. If you feel you need accommodations for testing please contact disability services.
• Request a Proctor: Students visiting the Crystal Coast or taking distance learning courses at another institution may be required to test in a proctored testing center. The MAPS Center can provide a proctor for a fee of $20 per exam and by appointment.
