2025 Applications Now Open

In the summer of 2023, Carteret CC lost Chef Randy Sweat, a beloved figure who left a lasting impact on students, the community, and his colleagues. Chef Randy was known for his philanthropic spirit, and to honor his memory, the Culinary and Baking & Pastry programs established a grant that supports organizations and other college programs that might not have the same fundraising opportunities enjoyed by Culinary and BPA.

The grant initiative provides much-needed funding for resources beyond what state budgets can cover. In 2024, the Sweat Equity Grant recipient raised an impressive $6,600 in 4 just hours!
