Students Shine at SkillsUSA State Competitions

Carteret CC hosted an array of SkillsUSA North Carolina competitions, showcasing the incredible talent and dedication of our students in Culinary Arts, Baking & Pastry, Restaurant Services, and Automotive Systems Technology. And guess what? They brought home first and second place in multiple categories, making us proud beyond words!

Culinary Arts and Baking & Pastry

• 1st Place – Baking & Pastry: Faith Williams
• 2nd Place – Baking & Pastry: Amelia Swacha
• 1st Place – Culinary Arts: Bree Turbeville
• 2nd Place – Culinary Arts: Trevor Torrence

Automotive Systems Technology

• 1st Place – Mobile Electronics Installation: Ryan Foreman

These incredible students demonstrated exceptional talent, creativity, and focus under pressure, representing their programs and our college with professionalism, passion, and pride.

But wait, there’s more! The excitement doesn’t stop there! Faith, Bree, and Ryan are heading to Atlanta, GA this summer to compete at Nationals! Let’s cheer them on as they continue to shine and make us proud.
