A Letter from the Student Life Coordinator

Dear Students,

As the semester winds down and the holidays approach, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on all the incredible memories we’ve created this fall and give you a sneak peek at what’s to come in the spring semester.

Looking Back on an Amazing Fall

Wow, what a semester it has been! From the creative energy at our Make & Take events to the vibrant atmosphere at Fall Fest, this fall was packed with fun, laughter, and plenty of opportunities to connect. Remember the thrill of racing during Mario Kart & Mac N Cheese or the excitement of trying your hand at candle-making? Every event reminded me just how amazing our Carteret CC community is.

Whether you were decorating terracotta pots, enjoying carnival games, or savoring treats from our talented culinary and baking students, you helped make each event special. Student Life is all about coming together, sharing experiences, and making memories, and this fall, we truly accomplished that.

What’s Ahead for Spring

As we turn our focus to the spring semester, I’m excited to share a preview of what’s in store.

We’ll kick things off with Welcome Week during the first week of classes—a perfect opportunity to reconnect, meet new friends, and start the semester on a high note. Of course, our popular Make & Take events will return, bringing more chances to get creative and unwind.

Spring Fling promises to be an exciting highlight, filled with fun activities and surprises. And for all the gamers out there, Game Days, which we are calling “Kraken Quests”, will give you a chance to showcase your skills, relax, and enjoy some friendly competition. There’s so much to look forward to, and I can’t wait to see what the Spring Semester holds for all of us!
