Your Voice, Your Vote, Your Future – Register September 15th–18th

Carteret Community College is joining in on National Voter Registration Week with events happening September 15th–18th!

Voter Registration Locations & Times

  • Wayne West & Bryant Student Center
    • Monday–Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
    • Thursday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Evening Registration at Wayne West
    • Monday & Tuesday: 5:00 – 6:30 PM

This effort is a partnership between Carteret CC, the Student Government Association (SGA), the League of Women Voters of Carteret County, the local NAACP, and the Unitarian Coastal Fellowship in Morehead City. Together, we’re working to encourage voter participation and highlight the importance of civic engagement.

What to Expect

  • League of Women Voters volunteers will be on hand to:
    • Provide information about Early Voting hours and locations
    • Share handouts with important dates, times, and PHOTO ID requirements
    • Help students check if they’re already registered
    • Assist in locating your polling place
  • Activities will also be available to raise awareness about National Constitution Day.

Why Register?
This year is especially important because it’s municipal election season in North Carolina. Municipal elections may not always get as much attention as state or federal races, but they impact on your day-to-day life in big ways. Local governments make decisions about:

  • Development and growth in your community
  • Policing and public safety
  • Trash collection and other city services
  • Local taxation and budgets

In odd-numbered years like 2025, voters across North Carolina will elect mayors, council members, and other local officials—and in some cases, decide on issues like property tax referenda.

Don’t miss your chance to make your voice heard in the decisions that shape our community every day. Stop by one of our voter registration tables September 15th–18th!
