Carteret Community College will once again participate in the official North Carolina Science Festival, hosting “STEM Day at Carteret Community College” on Tuesday, April 8, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Bryant Student Center. This hands-on, FREE family-friendly event invites learners of all ages to experience the excitement of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through interactive activities, live demonstrations, and engaging exhibits.
As a proud partner of the NC Science Festival, Carteret CC shares the festival’s mission of making science accessible, inspiring future innovators, and strengthening North Carolina’s leadership in STEM education. By hosting STEM Day, the college continues its commitment to fostering curiosity and discovery while preparing students for in-demand careers in science and technology.
“At Carteret CC, we believe that STEM education is essential for building a strong future workforce,” said Dr. Tracy Mancini, President. “By participating in the NC Science Festival, we provide opportunities for students, families, and community members to explore STEM in a fun and engaging way. Events like this help spark interest in science and showcase our many career pathways available in STEM-related industries.”
Founded in 2010, the North Carolina Science Festival was the first statewide science festival in the U.S., bringing together schools, colleges, museums, and businesses to celebrate STEM through interactive learning experiences. Each year, the festival engages thousands of participants across North Carolina, reinforcing the importance of STEM education and innovation. The 2025 festival theme is “Everyday, Everywhere, Everyone”.
