Great Strides Walk for Cystic Fibrosis 

It’s time to tie your shoes and start walking! On Friday, April 28th the Respiratory Therapy program at Carteret Community College will host its annual Walk for Cystic Fibrosis, “Great Strides 5K”

Registration begins on campus at 12:30 p.m. near the parking lot in front of the McGee Building and a minimum $10.00 donation is requested.  The walk starts at 1 p.m. and participants will follow the newly completed walking trail around campus before continuing east to 25th Street and returning back to campus.  The event is open to the community. Children in strollers and dogs on leashes may join the walk, as well.

Every day, about three babies are born with Cystic Fibrosis in the United States, and at least one person dies a day from the disorder. Help is urgently needed as the cost of CF research continues to go up.  If you are unable to attend the annual walk, please consider sponsoring a student.
