National Radiologic Technology Week
It’s time for us to be seen
November 3-9 is National Radiologic Technology Week, a time to recognize the remarkable work radiologic technologists do and the vital role they play in healthcare. Here at Carteret Community College, we’re thrilled to celebrate our dedicated Radiography students, faculty, and graduates who are shaping the future of diagnostic imaging with expertise and compassion.
Honoring Our Radiography Students and Faculty
Radiologic technologists are at the heart of patient care, utilizing advanced imaging technology to assist in diagnosis and treatment. Every X-ray, MRI, and CT scan provides crucial insights, guiding healthcare providers in making informed decisions that save lives. Carteret CC’s Radiography program trains students in the skills needed to excel in this field, combining hands-on learning with in-depth knowledge.
Through rigorous coursework and clinical experiences, our Radiography students gain the confidence and skill sets needed to work effectively in hospitals, clinics, and imaging centers. We’re proud to see our students develop into professionals who make a difference daily, embracing both technology and empathy.
About Our Radiography Program
Carteret CC’s Radiography program stands out for its commitment to preparing students for successful, rewarding careers in diagnostic imaging. Accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), our program offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers anatomy, patient positioning, radiation safety, and imaging techniques.
Students benefit from small class sizes, expert instruction, and modern technology that mirrors what they’ll use in real-world settings. Under the guidance of experienced faculty, students engage in clinical practice, applying their learning directly to patient care. The program not only provides essential technical skills but also instills professionalism and a patient-centered approach to healthcare.
Making an Impact on the Community
Carteret CC’s Radiography graduates have gone on to serve in diverse healthcare settings across North Carolina and beyond, contributing their expertise to communities in need. Many of our alumni are now integral parts of medical teams, recognized for their dedication and excellence. This week, we want to celebrate and thank each of our Radiography program graduates who continue to make a difference in patients’ lives.
Join Us in Celebrating National Radiologic Technology Week
If you’re interested in becoming a radiologic technologist, we invite you to explore our Radiography program and consider joining a field that combines advanced technology with compassionate care. Our doors are open to those ready to make a difference in the lives of others through a career in radiologic technology.
