The Barbering program is designed to train and prepare students for a career as barbers. Students will learn the information needed to pass the state licensure exams and the most contemporary techniques to ensure their success in school and employment. Students will learn skills, safety judgments, proper work habits, business skills, and desirable attitudes necessary to obtain licensure and for competency in entry-level positions in barbering or a related career field during the 1528 clock hour requirement.
Minimum Admission Requirements
Prerequisites
- Mandatory Program Orientation.
- $25 permit fee sent to the North Carolina Board of Barber Examiners.
Program Hours
The Barbering program requires 1528 clock hours to complete.
