Small Engine Mechanics
Carteret Community College’s Small Engine Mechanics Program provides hands-on training in engine rebuilding techniques to manufacturer specifications. Students will learn to disassemble engines, check components against specifications, and reassemble them using proper tools and testing equipment. The program emphasizes safety, operating principles, and practical skills, including adjusting valves, timing injectors, and understanding force, work, torque, and horsepower. Graduates will be equipped with the knowledge and confidence to service small engines effectively and efficiently.
