How to Apply for Scholarships
Carteret CC’s single application process means you are a few steps away from being applied to hundreds of opportunities for free money. Ready to get started?
- Students must have applied, received their Student ID and activated their student email.
- Complete the Scholarship Application which includes a brief statement of career and/or occupational goals at the end.
- When you’re done hit Finish and Submit.
That’s it! Submit your application by the semester priority deadline to automatically apply for personalized scholarship opportunities.

There are several scholarship opportunities available for students seeking funds for Workforce & Continuing Education classes at Carteret Community College. These scholarships are need-based, but do not require FAFSA documentation.
Yes, Carteret CC scholarships are for every kind of student, including older or career-focused students. Awards based on background and identity, as well as need-based scholarships can help you afford college.
No, but if you need help completing the application you may visit the Financial Aid Office for assistance.
At Carteret CC, we simplify the application process for you. Once you have completed an application, you will automatically be matched with scholarships that you meet the qualifications for. There’s no need to sort through different scholarships and apply.
Carteret CC Foundation Scholarships are paid directly toward tuition and fees by the start of the semester. Depending on the amount of the scholarship, a book stipend may also be issued.
Merit based scholarships are awarded to students based on their academic success and achievements, such as high grades.
Need based scholarships are awarded based on the financial need of a student as determined through the FAFSA. Although not required, filing the FAFSA may also put you into consideration for certain scholarships.
However, eligibility for many of the Carteret CC Foundation scholarships are based on criteria other than just merit or financial need.
When you submit your application, you can also list any community involvement or volunteerism works which shows what you care about and are involved in.
