The Galley
Your On-Campus Pantry for Essentials
The holiday season is a time for giving, gratitude, and community, and Carteret CC is proud to share how The Galley, our on-campus food pantry, is here to lend a hand to those in need. As we embrace the spirit of the season, The Galley ensures every Carteret CC student has access to essential resources, helping them thrive both in and outside the classroom.
With extended access through the remainder of the fall semester, students can visit The Galley during these times:
- Monday: 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
- Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
- Wednesday: 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
- Thursday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
For those juggling busy schedules, The Galley offers flexible options:
1. Request for Pick-Up: Students can complete the Pantry Request Form to have items prepared for pick-up at their convenience.
2. Schedule a Shopping Appointment: Reserve a personalized time with the Food Pantry Appointment Request Form.
Conveniently located on the second floor of the Bryant Student Center (Room 3220), The Galley is committed to creating a supportive space for students, especially during this season of giving.
A Season for Giving and Receiving
The holidays can be a stressful time, but The Galley is here to ease that burden. Whether you need food, household staples, or toiletries, they can count on The Galley to make the season a little brighter. All currently enrolled Carteret CC students, regardless of financial aid status or other supports, are welcome to use the food pantry.
“The Galley is more than just a food pantry, especially during the holidays when financial stress can feel overwhelming,” said Skylar Smith, a student advocate and member of SGA. “It ensures that no one has to choose between focusing on their education or having food on their plates”
How You Can Support The Galley
As we celebrate the season of giving, the Carteret CC community is invited to support The Galley in the following ways:
- Monetary Donations: Contribute through the Carteret CC Foundation by selecting “The Galley – Food Pantry” in the donation designation field.
- Material Donations: Drop off items like canned goods, pasta, snacks, toiletries, and paper products in Room 3114 on the first floor of the Bryant Student Center.
This holiday season, let’s continue to lift each other up. At Carteret CC, every Kraken is family, and The Galley is here to ensure everyone has what they need to succeed, now and in the future.
