Bianca Abell Named Educational Office Professional of the Year

AEOP District 12 Honors Bianca Abell

Carteret Community College’s own Bianca Abell, Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Instruction and Student Support, has been honored with the Lula M. Burrell Educational Office Professional of the Year Award by AEOP District 12!

With 23 years of dedicated service to the North Carolina Association of Educational Office Professionals at the local, district, and state levels, and 14 years as a member of the National Association, Bianca’s commitment shines bright. As the district awardee, she is now in the running for the state-level honor!

Reflecting on her journey, Bianca shared, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. To be a positive, effective, and encouraging leader, I surrounded myself with mentors who’ve guided me through this association. I’m so blessed to be part of this dynamic group.”

Through this experience, she leaves us with these words of wisdom:

1. Pray and pray again —you’ll need it.
2. Keep the membership first —always.
3. Read your P&P —if you can’t find what you need, read it again!
