Carteret Community College Hosts Local Restaurants to Benefit Students

dinner series logoMorehead City, N.C. (June 22, 2022) – Carteret Community College will host its annual Savour the Summer Soiree dinner series beginning next week. The dinner series will pair a local restaurant with a local brewery, distillery, or distributor for a night attendees will not forget. Guests will enjoy fine dining, crafted spirits, and great company at each event. Each soiree features a different restaurant, brewery/distillery/distributor, live music and silent auction items.

“These dinners are a fun way to get into the spirit of summer while helping students,” stated Brenda Reash, Executive Director of the Carteret Community College Foundation. “All proceeds from the events directly benefit Carteret Community College students through scholarships, emergency funds and program funds.”

The first dinner will be held on Monday, June 27 at 6 p.m. in the Hospitality and Culinary Arts Center. Blue Moon Bistro will create a four-course dinner and cocktails, and the event will feature live music by Justin Castellano.

On Monday, July 25, Carteret Community College Foundation will host Whiskey Bravo’s Coastal Chophouse and Crystal Coast Brewing Company. The event will feature live music from CassiRaye. The soiree dinner series will finish out on Monday, September 12 with creations made by 34⁰ North Restaurant and featuring Shortway Brewing Company’s beverages.
