Horticulture Club is an all-inclusive club that aims to educate students and community members about plants. The club also serves to create plant-related activities for members to participate in.

The Krakens for Conservation (KFC) club is a group for students who are passionate about the environment and enjoy learning about the natural world. The KFC club strives to educate club members about local biodiversity and environmental issues, observe and appreciate nature, and promote participation in conservation efforts. The club also coordinates with local entities to help network students into conservation projects and potential job opportunities. If you love Mother Earth, enjoy nature, and are passionate about Conservation, this club is for you!

The Medical Assistant Club at Carteret CC prepares students who are interested in learning more about the functions and aspects required in the medical field. We work collaboratively, to support our local community and each through the process of becoming Certified Medical Assistants. Our purpose is to encourage others, who are enrolled in the program, to excel beyond expectations and become professional, diligent Medical Assistants.

Nursing school is so challenging as it is, I think having the NSNA at our school presents a unique opportunity for student nurses to feel like they aren’t alone, that there is a sense of community here. The Radiography Club provides a means for students enrolled in the radiography program to increase their involvement on the college campus while at the same time making others aware of the career opportunities in this Medical Imaging Field. It is an avenue that promotes leadership experiences and professionalism within the program overall, as well as encouraging local community service that provides real-world experiences and creates a positive impact both on and off-campus.

The Respiratory Care Club accepts membership of all CCC students but membership typically consists of students that are in the respiratory therapy program. During the first semester, the club elects two representatives. This type of social connection builds unity among the students so that they can become more team-oriented to obtain their professional goals. Students learn organizational skills through various activities and the importance of professional activities such as conferences and belonging to a professional organization.

SAGA’s mission is to empower and support Carteret Community College students that identify as members or allies of the LGBTQIA+ community. SkillsUSA is a professional organization for students seeking a degree in health science, technical or skilled trade field. Students learn soft skills, networking skills, resume writing, etc. Since SkillsUSA is a national organization, employers recognize SkillsUSA participation as a plus to employment. Students can participate in leadership events and state and national competitions.

The Spa Services Club goals are to reinforce the academic efforts and career endeavors of Spa Services students, as they progress through their selected Spa Services Programs. Students must be enrolled in a Spa Services Program to join the club. The Spa Services Club seeks to expose students to advanced education and knowledge in the various cosmetic arts fields. This club strives to annually attend hair shows, conferences and continuing educational classes for the sake of exploring the latest trends and techniques in the various cosmetic arts fields.

Students for Christ is a student-led organization that exists to give students an opportunity to grow in their relationship to Christ, fellowship with other believers, and provide opportunities for worship, prayer, fellowship, and fun at Carteret Community College.

The Student Government Association (SGA) is “your voice” and “your advocate.” It consists of the Executive Board and the Student Senate who meet twice each month. Every activity fee-paying student is a member of the SGA and represented by a voting senator from each curriculum area or a representative from each student organization, and two ex-officio members from the Basic Skills programs. SGA offers members the opportunity to build leadership and communication skills, to learn work-related responsibilities, and to create an efficient/effective office environment. SGA members participate in community and student service programs, SGA conference meetings, intercollegiate contests, student activities, socials, and public speaking events.
