American Legion Post 99 Scholarship
Scholarship Opportunity for Veteran Students and Their Family
The mission of American Legion Post 99 is to improve the well-being of America’s veterans, their families, our military, and our communities through a commitment to mutual support.
American Legion Post 99 Commander John Owens attended the August Board of Trustees meeting to present a $2,500 check to Perry Harker, Vice President of Corporate & Community Education, and Melodie Darden, Carteret CC Board of Directors Chair.
The American Legion Post 99 continues to fund scholarships at Carteret Community College that assist veteran students and their family members pursuing education in trade programs, captain licensing, or marine-related training.
Since 2017, the American Legion Post 99 has provided over $14,700 in support for our students through the Foundation.
