Bold Flavors. Southern Roots. One Unforgettable Night.

The Black History Committee and Culinary Arts program are excited to host our annual Taste of the South event on June 19, 2025. Join us as we celebrate Southern culture through cuisine, community, and scholarship!
Taste of the South is a uniquely crafted event that highlights the talents and aspirations of our students. The event’s menu is designed and prepared by current culinary students and graduates, many of whom have excelled in regional and national competitions such as SkillsUSA and participated the Escoffier dinner series and in the prestigious Goellner French exchange program.
This event plays a pivotal role in raising funds for scholarships that directly benefit students at our college by helping them achieve their academic and professional goals.
40% of all proceeds go directly to the Gwen Fisher Memorial Scholarship. Enjoy an evening of camaraderie while helping to support students’ goals and dreams, ensuring they have the resources to thrive in their chosen careers.
