Every Vote Counts

Carteret Community College (Carteret CC) is proud once again to be a National Voter Registration Day partner and will be hosting a voter registration campaign Monday, September 16th through Thursday, September 19th, 2024.

Carteret CC and the Student Government Association, (SGA), the League of Women Voters of Carteret County, the NAACP Carteret County Branch and the Unitarian Coastal Fellowship in Morehead City have formed a nonpartisan partnership to register voters and provide educational materials on the College’s campus located at 3505 Arendell Street, Morehead City.

Carteret CC Students, US Citizens and residents of North Carolina are invited to register from:

  • Monday – Wednesday 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM 
    In the Wayne West & Bryant Student Center
  • Thursday 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
    In the Wayne West & Bryant Student Center
  • Monday & Tuesday 5:00 – 6:30 PM
    In the Bryant Student Center & Wayne West Building

Information will be available for voters on the new Photo ID requirements, new guidelines on absentee ballot voting, and early voting dates and hours for the coming municipal elections. Voters will also be able to look up their registration if necessary. A more detailed schedule of times and locations can be found here.

In this major election year, all eligible voters should exercise their right to vote.  The College is proud to partner with the League and other organizations on National Voter Registration Day to provide an opportunity for students, employees, and anyone in the county who has not yet done so to register to vote.” says Dr. Tracy Mancini, President of Carteret Community College.

 

The League of Women Voters of Carteret County is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government. The League influences public policy through education and advocacy. The mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is to ensure the political, educational, social and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and discrimination.
