College News & Updates

A new Federal Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is here—and so is help to complete it.

High school students, current college students, families, and adult learners are all invited to attend North Carolina’s FAFSA Day on Saturday, January 27, from 9 am – 12 pm. This is a free event where local college campuses across the state will open their doors to provide one-on-one or small group help with FAFSA completion and submission. This is a can’t-miss opportunity to answer all your questions about the newly revamped federal application!

There is no requirement to accept any aid offered, but the FAFSA can help you understand your options. By filling out the FAFSA, you could access:

  • Grants and scholarships that you do not have to pay back
  • Work-study programs that allow you to earn money working at the school you attend
  • Student loan options

Carteret Community College’s FAFSA Day event will take place in Room 102 of the McGee Building on January 27th from 9am-12pm.
