In accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (Buckley Amendment), Carteret Community College is committed to protecting privacy for all students, including distance learning students.
SACSCOC Accreditation
Carteret Community College (CCC) is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates.
Sexual Discrimination (Title IX)
Title IX is a federal civil rights law which requires that if a school (or its employees) knows or reasonably should know about sexual harassment (including sexual violence), the school must take immediate action to eliminate the sexual harassment, prevent its recurrence, and address its effects, even if the victim does not want to file a complaint.
