If you wish to speak at the August 10, 2022 Board of Trustees Public Forum, please submit the online Request to Speak form below at least 24 hours prior to the beginning of the public forum. Requests may also be made in-person by filling out a hardcopy (available at the meeting) and submitting it to the Executive Director of the President’s Office at least 10 minutes prior to the beginning of the public forum.
Speaking time will be limited to three minutes per person. The Board will designate a timekeeper. The chairperson will determine the order of those individuals wishing to address the Board.
The speaker shall state his or her name before commenting. All comments should be informational or issue oriented and shall address the topic listed on the Request to Speak form. No speaker shall make obscene remarks or issue personal attacks or insults while addressing the Board.
Remarks shall end when the speaker’s allotted time has expired. The chairperson may immediately terminate any comments that violate the rules listed above.
Board members will not respond to individuals who address the Board except to request clarification of points made by the presenter. Disruptions by any person or persons of a public meeting will be subject to action in accordance with G.S. 143-318.17.
